
Mary Weitz is a Los Angeles-based songwriter originally from Durham, North Carolina. She moved to New York City at 18 as a student at New York University’s Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music.
Soon after graduating, Mary moved to Los Angeles and landed early cuts including Normani’s debut single “Waves” featuring 6LACK and Bea Miller’s single “it’s not u it’s me,” which also featured 6LACK. Mary works closely with Alina Baraz and co-wrote extensively on her 2020 album It Was Divine and her 2021 EP Moongate. She co-wrote Fletcher’s single “Bitter,” which was remixed by Trevor Daniel, Remi Wolf’s single “Disco Man,” and multiple songs on Wolf’s debut album. Other highlights include singles for Sam Nelson (of X Ambassadors), Sienna Spiro, Alesso, Sekou, “Massachusetts” by Jensen McRae, and Rachel Chinouriri’s “The Hills” along with four other tracks on her debut album.
